PLEASANT HILL — Five area teens have been summoned to juvenile court on delinquency by reason of disorderly conduct charges after egging members of the Newton High School marching band during the village Halloween parade last week.
The five — four boys and one girl — were questioned by a Miami County sheriff's deputy after the band's director and several band members said they were hit by eggs during the parade.

The deputy said the teens admitted throwing the eggs. They said they felt bad and did not intend to harm anyone.
The band's director said he was hit in the side of the face during the Oct. 31 annual parade that follows village beggar's night activities.
