TROY — A Miami County judge Monday expressed dismay at a 19-year-old St. Paris woman's string of thefts in five Ohio counties before sentencing her to six months in prison.

Common Pleas Judge Robert Lindeman termed Dorian Hollingshead "a one-woman crime wave."

She was before him for sentencing on a felony theft conviction for stealing a 32-flat screen TV from Wal-Mart in Troy in July. Two others convicted in the theft already have been sentenced to six-month prison terms.

Lindeman said Hollingshead also had been charged with theft in Logan, Clark, Franklin and Champaign counties, although the Miami County theft charge was her first felony. He said it was rare for someone so young to have that many offenses, then rejected a prosecutors' recommendation for probation.

"You've got to work at that," Lindeman said. "It gives me the impression that stealing is a way of life with you."
