Dr. James Laws and his Knightsbridge International co-founder will talk about their hopes of raising enough money for a mission to Darfur when they're on the CBS Early Show at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
"This is the first time we've initiated one of these," Laws said.

The Grandview Medical Center cardiologist and partner Ed Artis have gone on more than two dozen humanitarian missions, often in war zones like the Darfur region of Sudan, in Northeast Africa. "Most of the time, we are contacted by somebody and have to make a choice from among several options."
To make the mission possible, Artis established a fundraising Web site,
www.onedollar4darfur.com, asking people to give up a side order of fries or settle for a smaller designer coffee.
"We'll need at least $1 million to do this," Artis said. "People's lives will be at risk."
The Sudanese government has been hostile to organizations helping victims of the genocide that has killed 450,000 and displaced about 2 million. Other aid groups have gone and left in frustration, Artis said.
But with adequate security, he said, Knightsbridge has the smallness to go where other organizations cannot, and the donor contacts "to bring nearly $1 million worth of medicine."
"It's a very simple campaign," Artis said. "If everybody gives us $1, we'll be able to go. And everybody can afford $1."
