A 19-year-old man shot in the head May 16 has died, the Montgomery County Coroner's Office said Tuesday.

Joshua Bland was shot in the 2900 block of Prescott Avenue when a stranger approached a group of four men who were standing in the parking lot of an apartment complex and opened fire, Dayton police said.

The shooter had guns in each hand, police said.

Bland had been in a hospital since the shooting. A coroner's official would only say that Bland's body was brought to the coroner's office Tuesday.

Police questioned the three people who were with Bland, but no motive was determined, police Lt. John Huber said last week.

Tuesday night, Lt. John Bardun said police still have no specific description of the suspect or any updates about the investigation.

Anyone with information about Bland's shooting should contact police at (937) 333-COPS or (937) 222-STOP.
