COLUMBUS — A bill to triple the adoption tax credit to $1,500, up from $500, now moves to Gov. Ted Strickland.

The Ohio Senate agreed Tuesday to changes in the bill made by the House. Families can claim the credit for each minor child they adopt.

Low-income families who pay less than $1,500 in state taxes can claim the credit for two additional years.
