GREENVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol is "aggressively looking" for the driver and/or occupants of a vehicle that last week struck two bicyclists, killing one.
They already have the vehicle, found abandoned not far from the scene of the June 6 collision on Ohio 571, west of Greenville.

"We have talked with the registered owner of the vehicle, who said someone else had the vehicle," said Lt. Joseph Gebhart of the patrol's Dayton post.
Gebhart said the owner was reluctant to identify who had the vehicle. "We are pursuing a number of leads about things that occurred before and after the accident," he said.
Jesse L. Peters, 21, of Greenville was killed when he and Jeremiah J. Younker, also 21 and of Greenville, were struck from behind around 10:30 p.m. Gebhart said Peters was pronounced dead at the scene. Younker was taken to Wayne Hospital with moderate injuries, Gebhart said.
The lieutenant said the vehicle was found a short distance from the scene, abandoned in the middle of Ludy Road. He said there was front-end damage consistent with the collision.
Gebhart said investigators have not ruled out any suspects. "Sometimes it takes a while to build a good case," he said.
