Portable toilet left on man's porch

Oct. 6: A resident in the 1000 block of Wilhelmina Drive reported someone placed a portable toilet on his front porch. He believes some friends may be responsible. The street department was contacted to remove it.

TROY — Oct. 5: Police responded to the McDonald's
on West Main Street on a report of a deer trying to jump through the window.
They were then told the deer jumped through the window at Superpetz, 1490 W. Main Street. Police found the deer in the storage area in the rear of the building. It was lying down but jumped up as soon as it saw one of the officers. The officer elected to shoot the deer because it was inside the building.
Engagement ring stolen from vehicle
VANDALIA — Oct. 5: An engagement ring was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of South Dixie Drive.
The ring was left in the cup holder.
