New tractor, other vehicles collide injuring two

A farm tractor driven by Ansonia resident Eugen Billenstein, 66, and traveling Saturday afternoon, March 29, north along U.S. 127 at Hunter Road turned left in front of a southbound vehicle that then crashed into a pickup truck at a stop sign.

Neither Billenstein nor the driver of the southbound vehicle, Robert Stachler, 43, of Greenville, were harmed, officials said, but the driver of the truck, Ronald Young, 44, of Montezuma and his passenger, Brenda Young, were taken by helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital following a 50-minute extrication.

Officials cited Billenstein for failure to yield when turning.
