Montgomery County ranks third in stolen vehicles
First three months of '08 saw 2,169 thefts in Ohio.

COLUMBUS — Montgomery County ranks third among the top 10 Ohio counties for the most stolen vehicles, according to a crime bulletin released Thursday, April 10, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
During the first three months of this year, 2,169 vehicles were entered as stolen into the Ohio Law Enforcement Automated Data System (LEADS). The Patrol recovered 188 stolen vehicles from January to March 2008.

Montgomery County had 168 vehicles stolen between January-March. Cuyahoga County topped the list with 568 vehicles stolen.
The Oldsmobile Cutlass was the top vehicle reported stolen, according to the bulletin.
