COLUMBUS — Two women whose sexual harassment complaint triggered an internal investigation and an avalanche of bad press for Attorney General Marc Dann answered investigators' questions for more than two hours Monday, April 14.
Cindy Stankoski and Vanessa Stout, both 26, appeared separately with their attorney, Rex Elliott.

"These girls are telling the truth. There is so much consistency between their stories," said Elliott, who is representing both women. They have text messages, e-mails and "the whole nine yards to prove exactly what they're saying," he said. "There were (six to 12) text messages that were sent by Cindy Stankoski to another person inside the general services portion of the AG's office the night of September 10, 11, the infamous night, the night he unbuttoned her pants."
Attorney Mark C. Collins, who is representing Stankoski on criminal matters, said his client is considering filing a criminal complaint.
On Sept. 10, Stankoski gave into pressure from Anthony Gutierrez — her boss as director of general services and Dann's friend and neighbor — to go out for drinks after work, Elliott said.
They ended up at a Dublin apartment Dann, Gutierrez and Communications Director Leo Jennings III shared at the time. Feeling drunk, Stankoski asked to lie down and awoke hours later to find her pants undone and Gutierrez next to her in his underwear, her complaint said. Dann was in the apartment that night.
On Monday, Dann's office placed Jennings on paid administrative leave, citing information that surfaced over the weekend.
Jennings, 52, who is paid $102,000 a year, could not be reached for comment. Gutierrez, 50, who is paid $87,500 a year, was placed on paid leave April 7.
