ENGLEWOOD — May 4: Officers responded to a residence on Rumson Street to serve a warrant.
The subject and her daughter, 17, opened the door. The subject shut the door, then opened it again to ask what police wanted.
The officer advised there was a warrant for her arrest. She screamed that she wasn't going. She ran toward the kitchen, then struggled when the officer tried to cuff her.
When her daughter jumped on the officer's back and began hitting him, the other officer pulled her off.
She said she hit the officer because of her mother's back problems. The mother was jailed on the warrant and resisting arrest. The daughter was taken to juvenile detention for obstructing. On the way, they directed sexually oriented slurs at the first officer.
