Sunday, May 11, 2008

ENGLEWOOD — April 23: A loss prevention detective at Wal-Mart, 7725 Hoke Road, stopped two females after observing one of them open a container of baby wipes and place them under her stroller, which was occupied by an infant.

The subject ran with the baby stroller when confronted by the complainant, and the stroller tipped over. She took the baby out and handed it to a female who was with her.

The subject then struck the complainant in the face with the container of baby wipes. The subject and the other female ran to their vehicle and fled the scene.

The two were stopped on West Wenger Road and the subject, who was driving, stated she didn't know why she was pulled over.

An officer advised her about the Wal-Mart incident. The subject said she thought about stealing but decided against it when "the guy saw her." She was charged with robbery.
