COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol plans to update their Web site through Memorial Day weekend on impaired driving arrests and alcohol-related crashes.

A daily tally will be made available to the public at www.statepatrol.ohio.gov as state troopers work to reduce alcohol-related fatal crashes over the holiday weekend.

Extras

The Patrol's efforts include federal funding for overtime and are part of a national effort to reduce impaired driving incidents and crashes.

Last Memorial Day holiday, troopers made 694 OVI arrests across the state and six of the 12 people killed on Ohio roadways were involved in alcohol-related crashes.

Troopers encourage the public to report impaired drivers by calling 1-800-GRAB DUI.
