Miami U. football player accused of assaulting female

OXFORD — A Miami University football player is charged with aggravated burglary, burglary and assault in two incidents police said included an attack on a female student.
Zachary S. Marshall, 21, of Mason, was charged Thursday, May 29, according to MU police Capt. Jason Willis.

Police said Marshall entered two unlocked rooms at Havighurst Hall on May 21 and assaulted a female who was asleep in one of them and held a pillow over her face. Police said he also entered the room of a male student twice.
Marshall, a 6-foot-7, 289-pound junior offensive lineman who won a state wrestling title in the heavyweight division as a senior at Mason High School in 2005, has been suspended from the team, school officials said.
Marshall's mother posted a $26,000 bond Friday, May 30, to get him out of the Butler County Jail.
