MIDDLETOWN — A Lexington, Ky., man was arrested Sunday, June 15, after a Franklin woman said he raped her in a women's restroom at the Ramada Inn in Middletown.
The 21-year-old woman was in tears when police arrived but her friend told police they were both in the restroom at the hotel when Cameron Brown, 26, allegedly entered and raped the Franklin woman, according to the police report.

He then followed the pair as they left the restroom, asked where they were going and said he wasn't done with them, the alleged victim's friend told police. She said the three argued until Brown punched her in the face and they told a bartender at the inn to call 911.
Brown told police the 21-year-old woman and her friend called him from the bar after meeting him the day before at Kings Island, according to the police report. Brown said the three got into an argument and he left for his room at the inn after the woman's friend spit in his face three times.
Brown was arrested about 11:30 p.m. at his hotel room, which he was sharing with another woman from Kentucky, according to the report.
The alleged victim was taken to Atrium Medical Center for examination.
Brown, was charged with one count of rape and is being held in Middletown City Jail on $250,000 bond.
The incident is just the latest in string of crimes that have been reported at the Ramada on Ohio 122 just east of Interstate 75.
Since January, police have made arrests at the inn for disorderly conduct, public indecency, marijuana abuse, abusing a police officer, underage consumption and assault, according to police records.
"We've had a number of incidents at the Ramada," said Middletown police Lt. Rodney Muterspaw. "The record speaks for itself."
A manager at the Ramada Inn declined to comment on Monday.
