A roundup of unusual and noteworthy items from area police departments:

June 13: Patrolling officers observed a female who was hitchhiking at Kelly Avenue and Troy Street.

The subject then lifted her shirt and bra, exposing her breasts.

There was heavy traffic at the time and one vehicle slowed, causing two other vehicles to brake.

The officers made a U-turn in their cruiser to talk to the subject, but she took off running.

They located her on Kelly Avenue, next to a camper.

The subject told the officers that she flashed her breasts because she wanted to get a ride.

An officer asked her if she was aware that she was disrupting the traffic flow, and she said yes, but that they (drivers) didn't stop.

She was issued a citation for jaywalking and taken to the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of disorderly conduct.
