EATON — A Germantown woman was killed and her husband seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding went off the road on Ohio 122 Sunday evening, June 29.

At about 6:35 p.m. Sunday, Kenneth Duff Sr. was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle with his wife, Tonya Duff, 33, as a passenger, a news release from the Dayton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

The motorcycle went off the side of the road south of Eaton and struck a ditch, and both the driver and passenger were thrown from the vehicle. Tonya Duff was pronounced dead at the scene, and Kenneth Duff was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in an emergency helicopter.

Duff remained in serious condition at the hospital Monday morning.

The highway patrol release said neither of the people involved in the accident were wearing helmets. The crash remains under investigation.
