Man grazed by bullet fired during argument

HARRISON TWP., Montgomery County — A passenger in a sport utility vehicle suffered a grazing head wound Monday, July 14, during an apparent argument over a woman being waged by two men, the county sheriff's office said.
The victim, identified only as a 25-year-old Dayton man, was driven to Good Samaritan Hospital on Philadelphia Drive soon after the shooting reported about 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot outside 4370 Riverside Drive, Sheriff Phil Plummer said.
Deputies were working at 9 p.m. to sort out what happened, Plummer said, but an initial investigation revealed that the shooting occurred as two men argued over clothing one of them said had been left behind at the apartment of an ex-girlfriend.
The ex- apparently had been denied access to the woman's residence at the Barrrington Apartments, Plummer said, and gunfire broke out.
Deputies located the SUV at the hospital, detained it, and were questioning people at the hospital.
No one had been arrested as of 9 p.m. as it was not clear who fired the shot that hit the man in the vehicle.
