GE Money's Sales Finance Unit, based in Kettering, now issues a Kittle's Furniture credit card to offer financing options to Kittle's Furniture customers.

The multi-year joint venture will provide financing services at the home furnishings retailer's 14 Indiana and Ohio stores, including the Thomasville Home Furnishings stores in Dublin and Easton, Ohio.

"This is a great partnership with Kittle's and this is a way they can grow," said Cristy Williams, GE Money's Sales Finance vice president of communications.

Customers can apply in-store for extended terms and special financing promotions with no annual fee. Cardholders also will have access to online account management.

"The program is backed by customized, innovative technology that eases the application and purchasing process and increases a buyer's purchasing power while providing outstanding customer service," said James Seger, vice president of the Home Furnishings industry for GE Money – Sales Finance, in a press release.

This joint venture is an example of how the sales finance unit helps businesses grow, said Williams. A store credit card also serves as a marketing tool that promotes brand recognition and encourages repeat purchases and improves customer relations, she added.

"It allows them to concentrate on what they do best and to work with us," Williams said.

The GE Money Kettering location has about 800 employees. Dayton businesses that also use the sales finance unit include Morris Furniture, Ethan Allen and Mattress Firm.

Williams also said GE Money also can provide other services to help businesses grow, including commercial finance. GE Money's Sales Finance, a unit of GE Money, provides private label credit card programs and financial services for consumers through dealers, retailers, associations, contractors, manufacturers, healthcare practices and service providers in more than 20 industries.
