SPRINGFIELD — A New Carlisle man is in the Montgomery County Jail accused of a lewd act, and officials said he may face more charges in Clark County.
On Thursday, July 17, the University of Dayton Department of Public Safety received reports from female students about a man in a white Chevrolet Malibu with dark-tinted windows following them in the student neighborhood.
The women told police the car had followed them on prior occasions, UD police Maj. Larry Dickey said.
Campus police soon found Daniel J. Koval, 31, fondling himself in his car while watching female students on campus, Clark County sheriff's Maj. Russell Garman said.
Officers arrested Koval, a Wright State University grounds keeper since June 2, and charged him with public indecency.
He remained in jail on Friday.
Police searched Koval's car prior to towing it and found a computer memory card drive that contained child pornography, and Garman said Koval told police he had more images on his home computer.
Clark County officials obtained a search warrant on Friday for Koval's home in New Carlisle and seized desktop and laptop computers, Garman said.
Koval, a probationary employee at Wright State, will be fired, spokeswoman Stephanie Gottschlich said.
