FacebookFormer lead of vets group sentenced for touching girl

XENIA — The one-time commander of a state veterans group was sentenced to three years in prison Monday, July 21, for touching a young girl.
Ralph Riddle, 75, of Xenia Twp., pleaded guilty in Greene County Common Pleas Court in May to two counts of gross sexual imposition for touching a 13-year-old between her legs in 2004.
At sentencing, Judge J. Timothy Campbell classified Riddle as a tier one sexual offender.
Riddle, who was charged in November 2007, was the commander of Ohio AMVETS since June 2007. The criminal charges were unrelated to Riddle's work with the veterans group, police said.
