Two men arrested after Sidney shooting

SIDNEY — Two men were arrested Sunday, Aug. 10, in the shootings of two people, according to the Sidney Police Department.
Samuel J. Kearse, 29, of Sidney was charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of discharging a firearm into an inhabited dwelling. Tyrone Kinney, 31, of Sidney, was also arrested on two counts of complicity to felonious assault and one count of complicity to discharging a firearm into an inhabited dwelling.
Christy Cyphers, 24, of Sidney and Dustin Orsborne, 27, of DeGraff suffered what appeared to be gunshot wounds and were transported to Miami Valley Hospital. Cyphers was treated and released and Orsborne is in undetermined condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.
At 3:34 a.m. Sunday officers were dispatched on a report of shots fired to Cyphers' residence at 210 Grove St., where they found the victims.
The police and Shelby County Sheriff's office then set up a perimeter in the 300 block of Jefferson Street, where both suspects live, and remained there as they investigated the shooting, said Sidney Police Chief Steve Wearly. He said it was not a standoff and both suspects cooperated. Kearse was arrested and, at 8:29 a.m. the Sidney-Piqua Joint Tactical Response Team took Kinney into custody.
