Police need help on missing woman information

DAYTON — Police investigating the disappearance of Angela Hild believe family and friends of her late husband know where her body can be found, and the police are asking someone to come forward with that information, said Lt. John Huber.
Angela Hild has been missing since Aug. 21, and police have said they are certain she is dead. Investigators believe her husband, Michael Hild, abducted and killed her before he died in a gun battle with Melbourne, Fla., police Aug. 23.
Huber said associates of Michael Hild have supplied some information, but investigators believe they could reveal more, including the whereabouts of Angela Hild's body.
"Maybe they think we're going to find the body on our own, and maybe we will," Huber said. "But we're asking if you know where the body was placed, why don't you go ahead and call in anonymously and give us the information?
"We need to give some closure to this woman's mother and father."
Huber said they are fairly certain that Michael Hild killed his wife in Dayton and then left the area traveling south on Interstate 75. He said investigators searched for Angela Hild's body in Kentucky in the area where Michael Hild apparently stole a license plate, but that search turned up nothing.
Huber said investigators are also trying to develop more details about how and why Michael Hild ended up in Florida. Police believe he robbed a Walgreen's Pharmacy in Orange County, Fla., and he was killed in a gun battle that followed a traffic accident later.
