DAYTON — Kids Voting Dayton Region has selected Bryan Suddith as its new executive director.
Suddith comes to Kids Voting after having worked for Montgomery County for eight years, most recently as a registration supervisor at the Board of Elections. Prior to that he was a business operations manager for the juvenile court.
"We are thrilled to bring Bryan on board to lead Kids Voting, especially with the November election so close. Bryan brings a wealth of election experience, a track record of working with youth and a keen understanding of the Kids Voting mission to teach the power of democracy" said Toni Perry Gillispie, Kids Voting board chair.
"I am excited about my new role as Kids Voting executive director," Suddith said. "The 2008 presidential election provides a real opportunity to engage the youth of our community. I have already met with elected officials, Democrat and Republican, who share my enthusiasm for Kids Voting."
Perry Gillispie said board members believe Suddith's education and background brings the ability to manage the operation, build relationships and expand Kids Voting with energy, enthusiasm and professionalism."
Suddith began his new role with Kids Voting earlier this month and is already gearing up for three big events — the Bipartisan Bash fundraiser, People, Power, Politics high school conference and the 2008 election, all of which occurs in the next two months.
Suddith grew up in Lebanon and resides in Kettering with his wife and two sons. He has a bachelor's degree in parks and recreation and a master's degree in public administration.
