How to replace food stamps for food spoiled by power failure

LEBANON — Food stamps will be replaced for those Warren County residents who purchased food with the stamps and then had the food spoil while electricity has been out because of wind storm damage this week, a county official said Wednesday, Sept. 17.
Residents have called the Warren County Human Services Department asking if there is assistance for people who lost food due to the power outages. The department cannot replace food. However, people who are eligible for food stamps and lost food they purchased with the stamps, can get the stamps replaced for this month, a county spokeswoman said.
Human services workers said they have received "quite a few calls" from people requesting information about food stamp replacement About 150 people went ot the human services office to fill out forms to get replacement stamps.
Forms for replacing food stamps are available at the Warren County Human Services Department at 416 S. East St. in Lebanon.
