Voting is our right bought with a price. Be informed by listening to Sean Hanity, Rush Limbough, and Michael Savage and the others that aren’t bought by the democrats. Thinking Americans will not vote for Obama. Voting early is being pushed by Obama because the truth is going to be exposed soon about him being an empty suit. He is white and Arab. His own family ties are to slave owners and sellers. He isn’t afro-american. You as Americans better wise-up to whom you are putting into office.

I have been reading some of the most ridiculous comments..I live in TN and we have had early voting for several years. It takes a while to catch on, but when you have your mind made up it is much easier to go and not have to wait in long lines. I live in a very RED state, but I am voting for Obama and I am a white, 71 year old woman, so don’t put stereotypes on Obama voters…You don’t know what you are talking about..It would be nice if many of you could learn better grammar and spell correctly

Many people will vote their party just because they want them to win. Now it is time to vote so that you are the winner which might not include your party.
Vote so you will not need to fear the outcome of this election.

Funny how the Elephants have lost their memory. They are the ones who started this, now that the shoe is on the other foot…listen to them whine!

I’ll be voting on election day. I think voting early will take the excitement out of the process. One thing I’d like to say to everyone is to get educated on BOTH candidates before you vote. Don’t just vote blindly. This is the most important election of our lifetime, so don’t waste your vote by being too lazy to research your candidate!

“Give me your tired, your poor, your non-contributing citizens and I will make sure they all vote (early and often) so they can give themselves money without paying taxes or contributing to society…..” Karl Marx and Chavez would be proud- as would Obama’s communist family in Kenya (or the other marxist his mom married who raised Obama in Indonesia). Will our fear of political correctness never end?

Obama’s campaign is using its financial and organizational muscle to boost turnout among his core supporters — blacks and the youth. His campaign long planned for this early voting period and organized car pools from college campuses to early voting sites across the state.
Independent groups seeking to increase poor and minority participation also transported voters from places like homeless shelters, halfway houses and soup kitchens.
“We’ve had mediocre response,” Matt Stone, an organizer of the group Vote from Home, said. “We hope the effort will snowball over seven days as people talk about it.”
Outside the Franklin County Veterans Memorial in Columbus, Republican lawyers apparently concerned about voter fraud snapped photographs of vehicle license plates.
On Monday, the state Supreme Court and two federal judges upheld the ruling by Democratic Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner that allows new voters to register and cast an absentee ballot on the same day from Tuesday through Oct. 6. Republicans argued that Ohio law requires voters to be registered for 30 days before they cast an absentee ballot.
The Ohio GOP asked the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati on Tuesday either to stop same-day voting or require elections official to separate those ballots so the registrations can be verified. But Brunner already has instructed election officials to segregate those ballots and verify the registrations before counting them. A three-judge panel of the federal appeals court denied the request later in the day.

Glus…what a joke? Do realize that 3/4 of the WORLD’s media is owned by Rupert Murdock, who owns FOX? RM is in the back pocket of the BUSH administration which is why we had to hear constant reporting about Brittany Spears instead of hearing about the WAR and it’s casualities. Wake up! Don’t believe everything you hear or read! Watch the documentary ‘Outfoxed’ if you don’t believe it!

ACORN is trying to steal the election in Ohio. they are being investigated for voter fraud in this state and 11 others, for registering fake names and addresses. their way is to use heavy-handed tactics to get people a) to register as democrats and b) to get banks to give cheap loans to people that cant afford them. Obama was an attorney and TRAINER for ACORN which meant he had to train the people in the heavy handed tactics that they use. William Ayres was also working with acorn when obama was. If you obamabots really care about whats going on then google ACORN and Obama and you will really see that this man isnt all you think he is. The media is just refusing (apart from fox) to tell the truth about him

I am definitely voting early just like in the primary. Much less hassle since they moved our election place and now it’s in a cramped room with only one door in and out. It’s also in an elementary school which bugs me since it gives easy access to ‘victims’ for pedophiles who vote.

I plan to vote absentee this year just to make it easier. I already requested the absentee ballot but haven’t received it yet.
I think voting and registering the same day is fine since you have to prove your identity and residence, so no one can vote in more than their own city. This isn’t the first year we’ve done it this way in Ohio and it whas worked out fine.

for only 5 days it will be possible to register and vote the same day, due to a rules discrepency between the deadline for registering for the general election and the period during which an absentee ballot can be cast. starting yesterday and ending Saturday, if you have proof of identity and residence, you can vote the same day you register, but scutiny by poll officials will be with regard to temporary addresses such as college dorms, off-campus housing and areas around non-comuter schools….

How can you register to vote AND vote all in the same day? What proof is used to validate your registration? So I go and register in every place I can in Montgomery and vote under different names, every one of them will be counted. How stupid can this state be?
So VOTE EARLY and VOTE OFTEN!!!

Voting early would be far more convenient for me - it’s right down the street from work. To go on Election Day, I have to take my daughter with me.

The laws allowing early voting were enacted by Republicans here in Ohio. Maybe we’ll have an accurate vote count in our state this year, unlike the 2004 and 2000 elections.

How is voter fraud prevented? For instance a college student who votes in Ohio, but is registered in another state.

Nope—I like going to the polls on election day. I know that I risk lines, but I really like the feeling of going to the polls and seeing democracy in action.

Absolutely. My wife and I voted early in the primary, and I plan to do it again in the fall. It was easier, and I didn’t have to worry about machine troubles or really long lines on election day.
