A roundup of unusual and noteworthy items from area police departments:
ENGLEWOOD — Oct. 12: A male passed out near some bushes at Code Credit Union, 415 W. National Road. He was unresponsive when an officer yelled at him and tapped the bottom of his shoes. He regained consciousness. The odor of alcohol was on his breath and his speech was slurred. He said he'd been lying near the bushes for about 10 minutes, and that he was tired because he'd been working six days a week. When asked how much he had to drink, he said, "about an hour and a half." When asked a second time, he repeated the answer. He was taken to his residence and issued a summons for disorderly conduct while intoxicated. While en route he stated, "I did wrong."Man washes hands, loses his wallet
DAYTON — Nov. 4: A complainant reported he was having lunch on at a park in the 200 block of Edwin C. Moses Boulevard when his money was stolen. He stated he left his coat on the park bench when he got up to wash his hands. The $770 in cash and $140 money order in the coat were gone when he returned.
