Nonprofit asking for donations of kids' toys, gifts

DAYTON — For Love of Children, a not-for-profit group, is collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts that will be distributed to those served by the Children Services Division of Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services.

Suggested new toys and gifts include handheld games, dolls, educational toys, infant items, books, sports equipment and apparel, cameras and DVD players.

Gift cards along with monetary donations are also accepted at the Haines Children's Center, 3304 N. Main St. Donations can be made through Dec. 20 at:

• Dayton-area US Bank branches;

• Dayton-area Fifth Third Bank branches;

• State Farm Insurance, 6571 Brandt Pike, Huber Heights;

• Time Warner Media Sales, 8087 Washington Village Drive, Dayton.

State Farm and Dyer, Garofalo, Mann and Schultz are challenging other businesses to donate to Christmas for Kids as well. For more, call (937) 224-KIDS.
