TROY — A Huber Heights man accused of sending a photo of male genitalia to the cell phone of a 17-year-old girl pleaded not guilty Tuesday, Dec. 2, to a felony pandering obscenity charge.

Darnell L. Lewis, 21, is accused of sending the photo to the girl who lives in Monroe Twp. near Tipp City on Nov. 16. She showed the picture to her mother, who called Miami County Sheriff's deputies.

They report Lewis allegedly sent the photo to the girl he knows, then called asking if she wanted to "get together."

Deputies said Lewis had been warned earlier this year not to contact the girl and told an investigator the photo was sent by accident.

He also was charged with misdemeanor telephone harassment.

Lewis was released on his own recognizance following arraignment in county Municipal Court, where a preliminary hearing on the felony charge is scheduled for Dec. 9.
