CENTERVILLE — An armed robber made a "clean" getaway Thursday, Dec. 11, after robbing the Oreck Store, a vacuum cleaner store at 101 E. Alex-Bell Road in the Cross Pointe Shopping Center shortly after noon.

Centerville Police were still looking for the suspect today.

Centerville Crime Prevention Officer Matt Dunn said police got a 911 call at 12:14 p.m. from the store merchant stating he had been robbed.

Dunn said the robber was described as a black male in his 30s, about 5-foot-10 inches tall. He was wearing a half-to-three-quarter-length black coat and had on gold rim glasses, Dunn said. The suspect, who was "kind of stocky," also had a few days growth of facial hair and very thin hair, he said.

Dunn said the robber displayed an unknown type of gun and got an undisclosed amount of money from the merchant

"At this time there have been no arrests," and the robbery is still under investigation, Dunn said.

Anyone with information concerning the matter is asked to call the Centerville police at 433-7661.
