DAYTON — Dayton Public Schools officials refuse to comment on a reported sexual assault that occurred at Dunbar High School late Monday afternoon, Jan. 5, other than to say they are cooperating with police.

"The incident is under investigation by the Dayton Police Department and by the school district," said Harry C. Frisby Jr., the school district's executive director for safety and security. "We are cooperating fully with the police and are making no further comments on this ongoing investigation."

The alleged sexual assault of a female reportedly occurred in a Dunbar restroom after classes ended on Monday.

Police said several people have been interviewed in connection with the reported assault, but no arrests were made Tuesday.

The alleged assault came two days after another embarrassing incident for Dunbar. School officials had to suspend the Dunbar-Cincinnati Aiken boys basketball game Saturday after a fight broke out between the reserve teams.
