Mystery lovers starting book discussion group
TIPP CITY — A book discussion group for mystery lovers is being started at the Tipp City Public Library.
A planning meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. today, Jan. 8.
Anyone interested but unable to attend this meeting, is asked to call (937) 667-3826 and speak with Sue Hofer or e-mail hofersu@oplin.org. Registration is not required.
Games, crafts at

PIQUA — Suzie Hawkes and Friends will entertain for the Wednesday, Jan. 14, monthly luncheon at the YWCA Piqua from 11 a.m. to noon.
Games, singing and crafts will be offered.
The program is free and open to the public. Lunch, by reservation only, follows at noon for $5 per person. Reservations must be made by 8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12.

Watercolor technique class offered at Y
PIQUA — A six-week class for beginners to advanced adults in watercolor techniques will be offered from 6:45 to
8:15 p.m. at the YWCA Piqua beginning Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Cost is $48 along with a basic YWCA adult membership of $31.95. Students should bring watercolor paper, paints and a brush.

TIPP CITY — A Sit-N-Stitch for needle workers will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Tipp City Public Library, 11 E. Main St.

Bethel grad to be represented in new airmen exhibit
WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — A new exhibit "Warrior Airmen" will open at the Air Force Museum on Monday, Jan. 12.
Master Sargent Robert Dinsmore will be represented by one of the figures in the exhibit.
Dinsmore is a former resident of Bethel Twp., Miami County, and a graduate of Bethel High School.
Troy Literacy council in search
of volunteers
TROY — The Troy Literacy Council is seeking volunteers to tutor individuals on a one-to-one basis.
Tutors must complete a 12-hour course and spend one to two hours per week during a six-month commitment. The 12-hour basic tutor training will be offered beginning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10; 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 11; 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 17; and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18.
Cost for all materials and training is $15. All sessions are held at the Troy-Miami County Public Library.
