One dead after car crashes, ejects occupants

WASHINGTON TWP., Miami County — Shaun Duff, 23, of Bradford, was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle accident at 4:30 a.m. today, Sunday, Jan. 11. on Farrington Road west of Stillwell Road in Washington Twp., Miami County.
Both he and his passenger, Amanda Hull, 23, of Bradford, who were traveling east on Farrington Road in a 2003 silver Chevrolet pickup truck, were ejected when the truck went off the right side of the road and overturned. Neither was wearing a seatbelt, according to Piqua Ohio State Patrol dispatcher K. Skelton.
Hull was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy by the Piqua EMS, Skelton said.
She said alcohol is suspected as a possible factor in the accident, which is still under investigation. Roads were still icy in spots overnight, she said.
