Miami to meet Oregon in NCAA Tournament

The Miami University men's basketball team will face the Pac-10 tournament champion in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The RedHawks (18-14) earned 14th seed in the Midwest Region. They'll face No. 3 Oregon (26-7) on Friday in Spokane, Wash.

Miami earned a spot in the field Saturday by beating Akron in the Mid-American Conference tournament championship game.
• Xavier, the regular-season champs in the Atlantic 10, are the No. 9 seed in the South Region. The Musketeers (24-8) will meet No. 8 BYU (25-8) in the first round in Lexington, Ky.
A win could match the Muskies against Ohio State and former coach Thad Matta in the second round. The Buckeyes (30-3), the top seed in the South, will face Central Connecticut State in the first around.
• Horizon League champ Wright State (23-9) is the No. 14 seed in the West Region. The Raiders will face No. 3 Pittsburgh Thursday in Buffalo, N.Y.
Game times will be announced Monday.
