But the agency, which has been in Dayton for nearly 100 years – the past 50-plus at 825 S. Ludlow – wants to keep its main office downtown.
“….We have outgrown the Ludlow campus,” said Cindy Antrican, AAA Allied Group public affairs manager.
“We are expanding and continue to expand in the Miami Valley area,” she added. “And, if at all possible, we would love to find another location downtown that can accommodate our business needs and allow us to serve our members.”
The Ludlow office handles membership, travel, insurance, public affairs and traffic safety, along with emergency roadside assistance services, Antrican said. The service area includes Clark, Champaign, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble counties.
AAA’s Ludlow site totals 39,870 square feet on about a half-acre and includes a two-story main building and other properties, according to the agency and Montgomery County records.
Its fleet operation plans on a 10-year lease in moving to a 30,000 square foot building at 4660 Springboro Pike that has more parking spaces and is also accessible from Kettering Boulevard, Moraine Economic Development Director Michael Davis has said.
AAA has been expanding other operations, Antrican said. A downtown AAA Tire & Auto site opened last fall on East Third Street and a full-service car care, insurance in travel location is being built in Beavercreek after opening a similar Huber Heights location last year.
