The 1,384 sales for August produced a cumulative sales volume of $201.8 million, a jump of 16 percent from last year, according to the board.
August’s sales also continued to increase the year-to-date sales numbers and average and median price for the Dayton area. The number of homes sold for the year, 9,764, is a 12 percent increase from last year. The January-August average sales price increased six percent to $141,804, while the median price ticked up 4.3 percent to $120,000.
