NEW: Buffalo Wild Wings proposes Austin Landing site near Kohl’s, Kroger

A plan for a Buffalo Wild Wings at Austin Landing has received preliminary approval.

The Miami Twp. Zoning Commission voted unanimously tonight to recommend approval of the project.

The plan is set for final approval by township trustees Feb. 27.

FIRST REPORT

A new restaurant is planned for one the largest vacant parcels at Austin Landing in Miami Twp.

A preliminary development plan is set to go before the township’s zoning commission tonight. The plan will include a Buffalo Wing Wings next to Kohl’s, according to Austin Landing developer VisCap Development.

The land involves property north of Kohl’s and south of Kroger on the corner of Liverpool Lane and Landing Way, according to Kyle Hinkelman, Miami Twp. deputy community development director.

That is next to the Ohio 741 entrance on the east side of the 142-acre entertainment, restaurant, retail and office development. Details of the plan for the land are unclear at this point, but VisCap spokeswoman Cheryl Dillin indicated the Minnesota-based restaurant chain, which has several Southwest Ohio locations, is the focus on the plan.

This news organization has requested a copy of the plans for the site.

Kroger and Kohl’s were among the earliest retail businesses to open at the complex, but the land at Liverpool Lane and Landing Way has remained undeveloped.
