Award-winning restaurant to open in downtown Hamilton

Tano Bistro & Catering will open its second location in Hamilton next July, according to city officials.

The restaurant will be located at the corner of Dayton Street and Riverfront Plaza in the first floor of The Marcum, a new mixed-used development located across from Marcum Park and featuring 103 high-end apartments, plus first-floor commercial space.

Tano Bistro debuted its first location in 2009 in the middle of Historic Loveland, offering a contemporary dining experience in a quaint, historic building.

The restaurant features a seasonally changing tapas style menu with daily specials that have a focus on fresh, high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.

Tano Bistro has won the Best Chef category in Cincy Magazine’s Best of the East and Best Caterer in Cincy Magazine’s Best of the North.

“I am very excited about the opportunities in Hamilton,” said owner and chef Gaetano Williams. “There is a definite energy in the air, an excitement that is palpable and we are looking forward to being a part of it.”

Tano was jointly recruited to The Marcum by the project’s developer, CMC Properties, and the City of Hamilton.

“We’ve heard an overwhelming number of residents at Plan Hamilton meetings talk about wanting more restaurant variety,” said City Manager Joshua Smith. “Tano’s is exactly what Hamilton needs and we are thrilled they chose downtown Hamilton for a second location.”

Tano was one of several businesses and homes impacted by a massive fire in historic downtown Loveland this past May. Its Loveland restaurant is temporarily closed due to the fire, according to its website. However, its takeout operation, Take Home Tano Gourmet Meal Market, remains open.
