The $3.9 million project is needed to reduce congestion and crashes, as well as provide access to bicycle and pedestrian traffic, according to Nick Smith, assistant city engineer in Beavercreek.

The work will be happening on Dayton-Xenia Road between Beaverbrook Drive and Wallaby Drive and is slated to be done by July 2018. A tree crew is working this week to clear away areas alongside the roadway.
