Dayton's newest prognosticating groundhog, Rosie, stepped into the spotlight Thursday morning and saw her shadow, predicting six more weeks of winter.

Rosie emerged from her cabin at the Boonshoft Museum in Dayton around 10 a.m. and was greeted by a crowd of around 200. Rosie stepped in for the museum's veteran groundhog forecaster Ivy, who has reached her 10th birthday and is living at the Boonshoft's Discovery Zoo.
