BREAKING: Beavercreek wine shop to close its doors this weekend

Bruning’s Wine Cellar in Beavercreek will close its doors after its final drop-in wine-tasting this Saturday, Jan. 14, owner Mike Yegerlehner said this morning, Jan. 11.

The wine shop has been at its current location at 2476 Commons Blvd. for five years. Yegerlehner had originally founded the wine shop inside Bruning’s Clock Shop on North Fairfield Road near Dayton-Xenia Road. He moved it to its current location near the Mall at Fairfield Commons five years ago after closing the retail portion of the clock business.

Yegerlehner said sales at the wine shop had flattened since 2015. The shop sells wine, craft beers and accessories. Three employees will be impacted by the closing.

Bruning’s will host its final three drop-in wine tastings starting tonight, Wednesday Jan. 11, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Jan. 14 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
