Apartment complex employee accused of stealing $10K from business

An employee of a Springfield apartment complex is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from rent checks paid to the business.

Amy Boggs, 37, of Alta Road in Springfield, pleaded not guilty Thursday morning to one count of felony theft. A judge set bond at $10,000.

Boggs is accused of receiving and manipulating money orders used to pay rent at the Red Coach Apartment complex and depositing them in her personal checking and savings accounts between December 2015 and May 2016, according to Clark County Municipal Court records.
