The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a few good innovators.

The chamber is inviting applications for its Soin Award for Innovation by Feb. 8. The award is meant to “identify, honor and financially assist a company in the Dayton region which is demonstrating the historical innovative spirit of our community,” the chamber said in an announcement.

The award recipient will “best demonstrate this entrepreneurial spirit through a recently introduced or pending introduction of a unique product or service that will have the ability to sustain long-term growth for the company, increase local employment and assist in the creation of economic prosperity within the region,” the chamber said.

A selection committee annually chooses a winner from the applications to receive a $25,000 cash award and “accompanying public and community recognition,” the chamber said.

The award will be presented at the chamber’s annual meeting May 7.
