By Thomas Gnau

A veteran of the CIA and the U.S. Marine Corps is joining local defense contractor MacAulay-Brown Inc.’s operations in Vienna, Va., the company said Monday.

Mark Chadason has joined the company as a senior vice president, said MacAulay-Brown, which also calls itself “MacB.”

Chadason will lead the company’s new National Security Group and manage MacB’s national capital headquarters in Virginia. He will be responsible for relationships with national intelligence, homeland security and defense intelligence customers across the United States, the company said. He will report directly to Sid Fuchs, MacB’s president and chief executive.

Before joining MacB, Chadason served as a senior vice president at ManTech International Corp., responsible for 1,300 employees and annual revenue of $250 million. Before that, he worked for 31 years for the CIA and served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Based in Beavercreek, MacB has about 600 local employees and about 2,000 employees total. The company serves the federal government in defense, intelligence, homeland security and other areas.
