Sugarcreek Twp., Greene County — Children’s Medical Center of Dayton plans to open a testing center this fall in the former site of Curves fitness center in Sugarcreek Plaza, Kelly Kavanaugh, marketing and communications director said.

The facility at 6116 Wilmington Pike in Sugarcreek Plaza will offer radiology, electrocardiogram, laboratory test and other functions, Kavanaugh said. The hospital is considering offering echocardiogram testing.

The location is the result of input from area pediatricians and family practitioners.

“We’ve been given feedback that it is important to be in that area,” Kavanaugh said. “It just increases the convenience and access for our patients.”

Sugarcreek Township Administrator Barry Tiffany said the clinic will be a great asset for children who live in the area.

“We are really excited to know they are coming. It is a great thing to have in your community. We have lot of kids in the immediate area that will benefit greatly from it,” he said.

Dayton Children’s has outpatient testing facilities in Beavercreek, Kettering and Vandalia.

Testing also is conducted at the hospital’s main facility in Dayton, 1 Children’s Plaza, and at its Springboro center, 3333 West Tech Road.
