EMTEC hosts energy technology short course

KETTERING — Businesses interested in a briefing on new energy storage, conversion and distribution technologies are invited to a one-day course hosted by the Edison Materials Technology Center (EMTEC).

It is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Engineers Club of Dayton, 110 E. Monument St., Dayton. Jack Brouwer, of the National Fuel Cell Research Center at the University of California-Irvine, is to lead the presentation titled “Introduction to the Smart Grid and Related Alternative Energy Technologies.”

The cost is $125 for EMTEC members, $150 for non-members and $100 for students.
