Fairborn company to support Air Force, Wright State

FAIRBORN — Defense contractor Peerless Technologies Corp. said it will recruit and provide public health specialists to the 711th Human Performance Wing, in support of the Air Force’s move of aerospace medicine programs from Texas to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Peerless Technologies said it received the one-year task order, plus a one-year option, under a contract to support relocation of the programs to Wright-Patterson from Brooks City-Base, at San Antonio, by September 2011.

The company said it will provide the public health specialists’ support as a liaison between the Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine and Wright State University’s National Center for Medical Readiness, operator of the Calamityville facility in Fairborn. Calamityville is a intended to support training for military and civilian disaster response specialists.

Peerless also said Thursday, March 25, that it will sponsor an April 16, campus-wide event at Wright State to celebrate student research efforts. The company said that 29 percent of its employees are Wright State graduates.
