Fairborn technology corporation merged

Staff Report

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has completed the acquisition of Science, Engineering and Technology Associates Corp. (SET), of Arlington, Va.

SET — which creates and commercializes information technologies — has locations in Fairborn, Denver and Greenbelt, Md. SAIC, headquartered in San Diego, has offices in Beavercreek.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen SAIC’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, SAIC said.

SET’s approximately 80 employees will join SAIC’s Technology and Advanced Systems Business Unit, SAIC said in a recent announcement.

“This deal will have no impact on Ohio operations,” said SAIC spokeswoman Melissa Koskovich. She couldn’t immediately provide local employee numbers.
