Financial journalists from Bloomberg, CBS News, CNBC and Fox Business will moderate the University of Dayton’s RISE 13 student investment forum on April 4 on the UD campus. The panels will include two Federal Reserve presidents and CEOs from several prominent investment firms.
RISE (Redefining Investment Strategy Education) is the largest and longest running student-run investment forum in the nation, university officials said. Since it began in 2001, the forum has attracted nearly 15,000 participants from the financial industry and colleges and universities from around the globe.
The moderators are Kathleen Hays, host of “The Hays Advantage” on Bloomberg Radio; Steve Liesman, CNBC’s senior economics reporter; David Asman, Fox Business anchor; and Mellody Hobson, a CBS News contributor and analyst.
The panelists are highlighted by Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President and CEO Charles L. Evans and Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President and CEO Dennis Lockhart. Other panelists include representatives from Merrill Lynch Global Research, TD Ameritrade, TIAA-CREF, Barclay’s Capital, Barron’s magazine and Charles Schwab and Co. Inc.
Professionals and the public may attend RISE on April 4. Students and faculty may stay through April 6 for breakout sessions, workshops, networking and a career strategies forum.
Registration for students and professionals is $200 before Feb. 28 and $250 after Feb. 28. Registration for faculty is $300 before Feb. 28 and $350 after Feb. 28. A limited number of scholarships to attend are available for high school and college students.
