Joint auto committee holds hearing at Sinclair today

Staff Report

The Joint Select Committee on the Impact of the Changing Automobile Industry in Ohio is scheduled to have a hearing at Sinclair Community College today Aug. 25.

The session, which is open to public, is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

Among those scheduled to testify will be Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray. He will speak at 2:30 p.m. at Sinclair Community College’s Smith Auditorium, his office said.

According to his office, Cordray will give testimony “on behalf of Ohio consumers and workers” to the committee.

This committee was created by the Ohio General Assembly in June to examine the ailing auto industry in Ohio.

This is the fourth of five scheduled public hearings across the state to gather testimony for recommendations concerning Ohio law by the end of September.
